Obama Beach Bash Sept 6

There is an Obama Beach Bash on September 6th beginning at noon at La Jolla Shores. Gerold Firl has invited our DMCV club (and all other Dems) to stop by for a bonfire and beach fun. He is also looking for volunteers to register voters, help with the merchandise tent and to do face painting in the children's area. OBAMA BEACH BASH

THE BIGGEST DEMOCRATIC PARTY EVENT OF THE ELECTION SEASON

WHEN: Saturday, September 6th . 12 noon to 12 midnight

WHERE: La Jolla Shores

WHAT: Biggest family event to enjoy a day at the beach and get new volunteers. This is a busy site anyway and will be advertised and our goal is to register at least 1000 new voters and get at least 1000 new volunteers. All the congressional candidates will be there and we are working on some surprise guests too.

HOW: This is where you come in. This is a free event and therefore we need all the democratic clubs and as many members as they can bring to come and bring any of the following suggested items:

Set-up – tents, tables and table cloths and chairs, bbq pits and tools, and paper goods (cups, plates, flatware, foil, napkins), wood or coal and fire starters, cleaners and paper towels, first aid kit and sunscreen

Food – Burgers, Hot Dogs, Buns, ketchup, mustard, salads, corn, graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate, water, soda, juice, ice and coolers to keep the drinks cold

Games – volleyball and nets, kites, frisbees, beach balls, sand toys, face painting supplies, and bring your own water sport boogie boards and surf boards

Entertainment – Drum circle already organized, guitars welcome

BRING TO SHARE ANY OTHER ITEMS YOU CAN THINK OF, BUT MOST OF ALL JUST BRING AS MANY MEMBERS AND COME VOLUNTEER AT THIS EVENT
